The Society keeps a watch over planning applications in and around the Conservation Area and supports or objects to them where appropriate.
We successfully had a new public footpath created when access to the path was blocked by the new land owner.
We painted over graffiti on the reservoir wall in the Glebe Field. The design chosen was poppies to commemorate the centenary of the First World War. We also erect crosses outside the memorial hall every November to commemorate the villagers that lost their lives in the war.
We worked with the council to create plans for new facilities in King George’s Park.
